Verse 1: THE LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want
Verse one introduces us to the Lordship of Christ. To David the Lord was his shepherd. In fact, the Lord was many things to David (Psalm82:2)
The reason is many people around the world consider him to be just good man. Many others believe He was a prophet and a messenger from God but not God nor their Lord. Many even believe he didn’t exist but was just a mythical figure.
The first step to this pathway is to be different in your belief and conviction by accepting the truth that He actually is your God and Lord (John1:1-4, 10-14).
Making Him your Lord sets the tone in your spiritual search to enjoying His goodness and mercy. A must for everyone who endeavor to begin the search into the revelation of who the Son of God truly is. A search which will ultimately and unfailingly culminate that truly He is the Lord of Glory. (1 Corinthians 2:8).
We also need to understand that prior to making Him the Lord of our lives the whole earth lies under the power of the wicked one (1 John5:9). And the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
So this implies that either you make Him your LORD or you are under the government of the god of this world, the wicked one.
The communion or fellowship with the Lord begins the day you opened your heart for Him (Romans 10:8-12; Rev 3:20) to become your LORD. Making Him your Lord becomes the first step on this roadmap or pathway to glory.
There are numerous belief system for different group of people but what they don’t realize is that, it is only when we place our faith in Him as our Lord and savior that we can be saved.
Remember, David said he shall not want or lack anything because the LORD was his shepherd.
Is He just your shepherd, rock, strong tower, refuge, strength because you have fellowship with a Church or a personal relationship with Him as your Lord.
If you wish or desire for JESUS CHRIST to be your Lord and Savior, pray this with me.
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe I am a sinner,
And you came to die on the cross for my sins,
Forgive me all my sins and wash me with your blood
that you shed for the forgiveness of my sins.
I accept you to be the Lord and savior of my life from today.
Thank you for dying to save me.
I receive the gift of righteousness into my spirit
I am a creation in Christ Jesus, I am born again
